Hau woke up rather groggy, he didn't want to get up. Until he remembered what day it was, then he was up faster than a Jolteon.
He knew that before beginning the Island Challenge, he should do his morning duties.
Running downstairs, henwas greeted by the sight of the Island Kahuna.
"Hau." He said with a big smile. "How you doing?"
"Great. I'm going to do what I have to, then I'll be at Iki Town for my starter."
"Hau, I'm afraid I can-!" Before he could finish, Hau had run out the door.
He went running around to neighbouring towns and helping the community. He helped with deliveries, clean up some streets, and anything he could do to help. He was even given a pokéflute as thanks at one point.
It took him nearly two hours, which was faster than normal, and made his way home to get ready.
"Hey, Hau." His mother said as he entered. "Where's your pokémon?"
"I'm just going to to pack, then I'm meeting grandad."
"I thought he would have told you, he's doing the ceremony for an outsider. A boy from Kanto."
That got him excited. This guy must be Special to be undergoing the ceremony instead of him.
"I've packed your bag and dad left a note for you."
Hau, I'm sure your mother has told you about the boy from Kanto by now. I've left your starter in your room. He seems very excited to meet you.
