You didn’t have much if any training with swords. The blunt weapon the demonic staff member had given you weighing heavy upon your hip. But live practice was always the best teacher as your elders would say. You grip the sword tightly and hold it towards the green skinned creature.
“Back off! Go back in that hole you came out of… please!”
You try just a bit of diplomacy.
“###? ###....”
The creature seems to squint at the bright light of the hall, covering its face with a hand it then looks towards you and tenses its muscles. Wildly waving its arms in the air and beating its chest.
“##################!”
It charges. You tense up point the blade point forward. It halts and starts to stare you down. Its yellow eyes like tiny daggers of its own. With any hope of peace lost you act slicing at it. It takes the first hit, dodging the second, But getting hit again as you wack them in the head with the end like a club. You slide out of the way of a charge as it nearly runs off the red path and into an oncoming shoe! The giant fully unaware of near fatality. The crowd of tinies cheer as the goblin snarls.
“#####! ##################! #######!”
At this point it simply becomes a game of tag as you and the goblin run around the circle of tinies. A few scratches and even a full bite to your legs from the goblin. You do get a few hits in as well. Your wood bloodied with grey blood. The goblins focus is squarely on you. You are trying your best to weigh your options. Do you try and lead it back into the crack? Would a mad dash out into the titanic foot traffic finally put a end to it? Or will fate intervene in an unknown way?
