Neo was skipping through the hallways of Beacon, bored and looking for some fun. Things had been too quiet for too long. She wasn’t a fan of school, both causing some chaos and messing with others was already fun. A few too many pranks on her teammate Emerald caused their team leader Cinder to take action. Now Neo was under scrutiny on everything. Slipping out of their room, all Neo wanted was some freedom.
So when she saw a package sitting on a bench outside of Beacon, alone and unguarded she immediately grabbed it and walked off with it. A small theft here and there kept people on their toys. Of course she found an empty room to examine her spoils. TO her surprise and disappointment, the only thing in it was a weird little toy gun that looked a little Sci Fi-ish.
Taking out the instructions, Neo looked at it.
Hypnotism Ray
The girl rolled her eyes. Some idiot probably bought this online from the back of a comic book and thought it would allow them to hypnotize someone. What idiot would think that would work? Though the instruction book seemed pretty thick and Neo didn’t have anything else to do with her time at the moment. Sitting down, she speed read through the book.
It was a lot more complicated than she thought it would be for a prank.
The gun had a space on the side for her to input a simple command. Once programmed, anyone the device was pointed at and fired would follow the command. The command couldn’t be too overly complicated. The shorter the command, the better it would work. Also commands had to be achievable within a day. Stuff like doing something everyday for life or always reacting to a certain trigger world forever wouldn’t work.
But once the command was programmed, it could be used over and over on the same person or multiple people. Best of all, the target would think they willingly did something, or at least rationalize doing it. Some commands couldn't be rationalized, like making someone trip on command.
This obviously wasn’t real, which made Neo kind of sad. It would be so much fun if it was real though. Maybe it wouldn’t hurt to test it out though? It seemed a little more convoluted than a simple prank. She could do it without anyone seeing her so no one could laugh at her. It wasn’t like she had anything else to do.
