Wilkins does have the demenour of a husband in a Stepford story, so perhaps this spell does more than just blind people to the supernatural, but impose his stepford values on the population of Sunnydale.

Joyce Summers and her daughter Buffy move to the city of Sunnydale, and find a town out of the 50s, but the longer they spend there, as Buffy and new friends live up to her destiny as the Slayer, they find themselves changing to match their new neighbours. Will being The Slayer save Elizabeth from her fate, or will she become just another future stepford wife? And how will Xander and Willow be different having grown up in this Sunnydale?
