Anna Joy, an extroverted and passionate 25 year old, woke up early in her comfortable bed covered in sweat. It was a Saturday, a day for "exploring" in the forest.
"What a good dream I had!" she thought. She had dreamed of her precious "tinies", and instinctively turned her gaze towards her aquarium, a small round glass fish tank of 20x20 cm opened by a large circular opening at the top... it rested on a shelf next to her bed and was covered with dirt and leaves towards the middle and small very archaic constructions could be seen in the middle.
"Good morning, little ones" she whispered to them very closely through the opening, to do it out loud would frighten them.
"Today I will go out to explore the high forest and most likely I will bring new tenants, so you know what you have to do" she told them with a big smile.
As she stretched and prepared to get up, she tried hard not to forget her lovely dream. She had dreamed of being a goddess, in which her precious "tinies" worshipped her as one, and went on to become "one" with her, residing and living in her, becoming their world, a place where her tinies could live and thrive and build a glorious and welcoming civilization.
It was not a crazy dream or something out of reality, for she was also one of those "tinies". She was a worshipper of the Great Goddess, the Giver of life, the Mother of all nature, THE GODDESS LESLIE, who provided life and sustenance to billions of insignificant "tinies" who lived as guests on her great and immeasurable body and had managed to build a prosperous and abundant civilization.
Anna was a Microputian, a citizen of the Inguinal nation, a prosperous and friendly country located in the eastern crotch region just at the edge of where the spacious and thick forest of the Goddess began.
As a biologist and lover of nature and life forms, she was dedicated to vigorously study the biological interactions that different species had with the Goddess Leslie, mother nature. Week after week, Anna would go out and explore the vast forest "Eureka" as they called it, for the purpose of discovering and finding new things hidden within it. She would sometimes find at the foot of a rock or bush, vestiges of what was once a small civilization.
Those civilisations, once great, prospered, and eventually succumbed to ruin for unknown reasons without having realized the enormous "living world" to which they belonged was a gigantic human, having explored only a small part of the vast body. All that remained were small ruined buildings, and a few hundred tiny inhabitants struggling to survive in this cruel world
Anna made it her to duty to rescue these small inhabitants that she found throughout her studies, some larger than others. She brought them home and cared for them in her small glass aquarium and studied their behavior as if it were a colony of ants and communicate with them.
Over time she became very fond of them. She saw herself in these poor people. She too was struggling to survive in her Microputian colony before being saved by the Goddess Leslie. She remembered it clear as day, the words the Goddess spoke to her people, words that she would to take to heart and live by: "AS THE LARGEST SPECIES IN THE WORLD, IT IS MY DUTY THOSE WHO CANNOT PROTECT THEMSELVES." She regularly conversed with the "tinies". She got to know their desires, dreams and worries and she shared hers with them. She knew all of their names now. Her bond with them had grown strong. She was their Goddess, their saviour, but most importantly, their friend.
She had been working on this project for the last few months, and her efforts to make it grow more seemed to be finally yielding the expected results. She had so far identified three different species of diminutives which she called Nanoputians, Femtoputians and Attoputians. This time she hoped to find, according to her hypothesis, one more different species. Anna was eager for this day's search to be successful.
She went to her window and unfolded the curtains, it was still dark outside... the goddess Leslie was still asleep. She hoped to get the desired results to please her. A secret she kept to herself was that she was in fact the Dedicated Microputian Assistant to Leslie. Leslie had a dedicated assistant for each species. Leslie was impressed with her dedication and worship and chose Anna for the Microputian position. Anna was thrilled to be working directly for the Goddess she loved and enjoyed regular communication with her.
Suddenly a very loud noise was heard in the distance and a strong shake shook the whole place, quickly the sky changed and the whole panorama was illuminated, the goddess had finally woken up. "Damn" exclaimed Anna as she looked at her watch, "I have to hurry or Carl will leave me". She rushed into her bathroom and took a refreshing shower....
