Shinji tried to adjust his eyes to the sunlight coming in from his blinds. He wasn't that bad about waking up, but something today felt odd, like his body had been stretched out overnight.

"Mmm, what's going on..." And his voice was off too, higher in its pitch.

He got up and rubbed his eyes, hoping that brushing his teeth and washing his face would help him out. It wasn't until he looked at himself in the mirror that he fully woke up.
