Want to show you were right, for once, that your invention works is very tempting, however, you know better than to rush to the nearest person to demonstrate after just one test. You need to try another test, and this time with something that isn't a simple tin can. You need to try it on something bigger and more interesting. And that's when you figure what to try it on, yourself.
"Well, better to start a live trial now." You said to yourself as you look at the shrink ray. This might be a bad idea, but the concept has stop you in the past. Throwing caution to the wind, you aim the device at yourself and zap yourself. In a mear instint, you watch the world around you grew to massive scale. Comparing yourself to whatever is nearby, most some bolt that is about the size of a truck to you, you have to be about the size of a small ant, and the result shows, everythibg is massive. The desks in your room, the tools, a lot of mess of past fail experiments, what were small objects anyone can step around now looks like massive monuments to you. This made you rather more estatic of the results as so far the device manages to actually work.
"I got to show this to Mimi." You said to yourself as you try to aim the device at yourself to grow you back to normal. However, there was a small problem, the shrink ray is cooling down. You look at the device and see that a timer is on. "Shoot, recharging already?" You groan at the display, you thought you callibrate the device to shoot more shots than that. Thankfully you were wise enough to use a self charging battery, but now you're stuck at this size. You wonder what you should do in the mean time as it may take a bit for the thing to recharge. You could go to Mimi's room, see about sneaking around and surprising her by growing right in front of her, or you could explore elsewhere in you guys' apartment, you got a lot of areas to look at at your current size now.
