Every hero has some tragedy in their life. Unfortunately for Harry Potter, it was during the beginning of his life.
On October 31st, on Halloween night, the madman known as Lord Voldemort came to Godric’s Hollow, intending to kill all the Potters. At least that’s what happened in one universe.
In this one, Voldemort honored Snape’s request to let Lily Potter live.

“Please, kill me and let my child live!” Lily begged, “please.”
Voldemort was annoyed and wanted to kill her, his wand tip glowing green. But at the last second, instead of firing the killing curse, a stunner hit Lily and she crumpled onto the floor.
“Now for the boy,” Voldemort said and entered the nursery.
