"Wow I'm so beat! Today's game was super tough. I can't wait to just pass out when I get home." Jane says to her teammate and goalie for her team Terri.
"I hear ya girl, those girls were tough and pretty physical too on some of those plays." Terri says wiping sweat from her brow.
As the girls start to talk about how the girls on the other team were too rough a player from the opposing team walks up with a grin on her face.
"Hello... what do you want?" Terri said in a protective way seeing the girl approach.
"Well I was coming over to tell you both good game but with an attitude like that no wonder why you guys lost today." She says with a grin shrugging off the goalies attitude.
"You guys were brutal out there! Poor Jane is all brused up! Not to mention the rest of my team! And don't think I didn't catch your slide to take her out at the last kick she made towards your goal!" Terri says standing her ground, but while doing so she made Jane sound and feel like a little kid who needed her big sister to stand up for her.
"Awe poor Jane got some bruises today, well if she's so out matched with the big girls maybe she should go back to the peewee division. You want Mary to come over and kiss your ouchies all better?" Mary says still grinning but now turning her attention to Jane who's still sitting on the bench and looking kinda worried.
"N..no...no I'm fine. Come on Terri just let it go. I think we play them again next week we will just play even harder against them." Jane says a little bit of worry in her voice.
"Jane no we gotta stand up for ourselves! Especially to a bitch like this girl!" Terri says now making Jane even more nervous.
"Awe done yell at little Jane she's still learning, aren't you little Jane. I think my next week you'll show us how much you really have to learn. Here just put some of this on your little ouchies and you feel all better. Mary promises." Mary says handing Jane a pink tube that says ouchies be gone.
Jane nods taking the tube. "Umm. Ok.. th...thank you Mary."
"Ugh Jane you are such a baby sometimes, come on we gotta get on the bus." Terri says practically pulling Jane to the bus.
Jabe followed suit but couldn't help but to look back at Mary and watch her wave bye bye like she was waving to a little kid, but once on the bus it was like Jane snapped back to normal and put the tube in her pocket.
The bus ride back was filled with conversation about the other team, what they could have done better with, and what next practice will be focusing on. "Back to basics!" The coach says and Jane feels the gave from coach on her when it's said. Jane just felt like something was off but wasn't sure. Once back at the school she was picked up by her mom and the rest of the night went fairly normal. Dinner and the family talking about their day, then a bath for Kate the youngest of the two sisters at just 6 years old, then a shower for Jane. Once out of the shower she retreats to her room and steps on something sharp.
"Ow! Cone on I'm soar enough. Oh. I forgot." Jane says stepping on then picking up the pink tube that read "ochies be gone" 'taking away the the grown up pain of today. Apply on brushes and areas of discomfort and pain once to twice a day until...' the label was rubbed off by previous use.
"Well I might as well give it a try before I get in bed." Jane says taking the cap off then applying it to the several bruises on her legs, ribs, and even a soar spot on her head from a fall the other day. Placing the cap back on she throws it in a draw then gets her pj's on and goes to bed calling it a night.
Once a sleep the ointment starts to work on Jane when she awakes in the morning she feels
