Chapter #5

Copied body

    by: Morphology Author IconMail Icon
Hearing the door unlock and watching as the door slowly opened, Josh expected to see Lilly with his body and clothes below her own head, but instead he saw something completely different. "I'm sorry Josh." Lilly sobbed as she came out of the bathroom with her own body below her head. "I thought how great it would be to have somebody like me to play with during Thanksgiving and I guess I did this to you." Josh looked at her tear stained eyes and remembered how hard it was for her the past summer when she went on vacation with his family. She had to ask Bri to play with her and most of the time she could be found sitting in the shade with a book in her hands. "You have always been nice to me and I guess I thought that if you were like me we could go play together." She confided to him, but still continued to look at her feet and not too sure of her self.

Doing what he always does when talking to Lilly, bringing his hand to muss her hair, but found it odd since he was now the same height as her. But still found a way and as he was bringing his hand up, he noticed that his hands still had the holographic polish on them. Playfully mussing her hair, Josh did his best to put her blunder to rest. "Don't worry about it too much. If you copied your body onto mine, I don't think there is a way to get it back." He saw that Lilly seemed to be on the verge of tears again. "I told you not to worry about it. When ever I get back to school, I should be able to copy another body so that I can be somewhat back to normal."

Glancing over at Lilly, Josh could see the sense of relief displacing the anguish and humiliation that her error had caused. "So you're not mad?" She asked, still gauging whether or not her future step brother seemed angry about what had just happened to him. But after watching him shake his head, a sense of relief washed over her.

With making her feel better out of the way, Josh started to wonder how his room had changed since he was now wearing Lilly's clothes. "Umm... Lilly." He started as he looked over at his temporary body donor. "How about we head up to my room to see what had changed, hmm?" Lilly seemed to be reluctant at going up to his room since she had been told by her Dad that she wasn't allowed in there unless somebody else was with her, but Josh grabbed her hand and struggled to pull her. "Its alright." He reassured her. "I just want to go see how much has changed."

Feeling that it would be alright for the time being, Lilly nodded her head and smiled as she followed him up to his room. In the past she had always glanced into his room while she was on her way over to Bri and Courtney's room. It had seemed to be well put together and a lot cleaner than her brother, James', room. As the got to the door, Lilly could see Josh starting to hold his breath in anticipation of not knowing what to expect. Opening the door, they both sighed at seeing that it looked the same, except for the clothes that were on the floor. Josh noticed that where he had placed certain articles of clothing, in their place were the feminine equivalent. White socks were now princess themed socks, his long sleeved university shirt was now a purple long sleeved unicorn shirt, and the pair of pants that he'd worn the day before now had stitching on the back pocket to resemble hearts. "These look like my clothes." Lilly said to herself as she started to look around a little more. "But it looks like that's the only thing that really changed." She gestured to the video game posters that had stayed the same and the computer with college textbooks that now littered the desk next to the window.

"I guess you're right." Josh sighed as he looked down at his body. "What am I going to do until school starts back up next week?" He asked himself as he hopped up onto the bed.

Feeling a little nervous, Lilly started to look at her feet, a trait that she got when she was made fun off in Kindergarten. "Well, while you're like this, you and I can have some fun for the weekend." She said softly and embarrassed for even mentioning it.

After hearing what Lilly suggested, Josh could help but chuckle, causing Lilly to look back at him in surprise. "You know what, I don't mind at all. I mean, I'm kinda stuck like this until I go back to school, so might as well make the most of it, right?" He asked while giving her a wink, causing Lilly's bewildered look to develop into a toothy grin with a couple of her teeth missing.

Their conversation was cut short by Kim's voice calling out to the seemingly empty house. "Lilly, honey? Where did you run off to?"

Hearing her voice call out, Lilly's heart skipped a beat. She had just changed Josh to match her and didn't know if her Dad's girlfriend would see it, causing her to get into trouble. Turning to Josh she asked in a hushed tone. "What are we going to do, I don't want to get in trouble."

Seemingly trying to put her worries aside, Josh smiled a reassuring grin. "Don't worry. From what we were able to figure out, the person holding the remote and the person transformed by it can only see the changes." He then started to look to the door and called out to his Mom. "She's up here helping me with a project." He gave her a little wink causing her to blush.

After what seemed like forever, Kim popped her head into the room to see Josh sitting on the bed and Lilly looking like she'd done something wrong. "Well look at you two." She cooed while resting her body against the door frame. "You're both matching today. I know I didn't expect it. Well, dinner is ready if you two are ready to eat." She suggested.

Nodding his head, Josh hopped off of the bed and started to make his way towards the door. Looking back at Lilly, he held out his hand that had the same holographic nail polish that were on her nails. "Come on Lilly, lets go eat." Smiling and nodding her head, Lilly grabbed his hand to follow him downstairs.
