Eric tries to be supportive. "I know it's messed up, Rob. But you're still you, right? And you can be you around me."
Robert leaves the room, then comes back wearing a loose t-shirt and what looks like women's underwear. Eric tries not to stare at his buddy's new look, but it's clear Robert's feeling pretty self-conscious.
"I'm just worried about what people will think," Robert admits. "I don't want to be the weird one."
"Don't sweat it," Eric says, slapping him on the back. "We're in this together. And hey, maybe some of these changes aren't so bad. You're looking pretty good, if you ask me." They both crack up, trying to find the fun in a weird situation.
Then summer break hits, and the campus clears out. Eric walks out to see Robert coming out of the bathroom in a summer dress. It's like nothing can phase him anymore.
