He found a job and now lived in a apartment by himself, his new vagina still baffling him. He tried to keep it hidden under baggy clothes to hide his changed body as in the two years since it happened his body has slowly changed too, making it even harder to hide.
He manages to hide it well but inside his apartment he unbinds his chest and wears a over sized t-shirt and panties as underwear. He finds comfort in the fact that no one else needs to know about it. He has never told anyone, not even his best friend. He feels like it's a huge secret that he's keeping from everyone. The only one who knows about it is his doctor.
He decided one day to start dressing as a tomboyish girl and to start wearing bra's a just accept who he has become. He found a job at a women's clothing store and made sure to wear clothes that didn't hide his body to much, he wears jeans, top, a bra and nice sneakers and has decided to let his hair grew out. No one ever questioned his gender and he felt comfortable with himself. He even joined a women's only gym and made friends with some of the other girls there.
He still has moments where he feels like his old self, when he wishes he could just go back to the way things were, but he knows that's not possible. He's accepted his new life and is learning to live with it. He still has some insecurities, but he's working through them.
One day a guy from the apartment block he lives in knocked on his door asking for sugar and said "Hello I'm Stephen, who are you?
Jack was taken aback for a moment before saying "Oh hi, I'm Jasmine. You can call me Jazz for short." Stephen seemed a bit confused but politely accepted the introduction. They started talking about random things and soon enough they became friends. Jack found himself enjoying Stephen's company and they hung out quite often. Stephen had no clue about Jack's past and just saw a young working woman who was a tomboy and just trying to make her way in the world.
As time went by, Jack started feeling more and more comfortable in his own skin. He still had moments where he wished things were different, but he learned to accept himself for who he was. He continued to work at the women's clothing store and even started to help Stephen with some fashion advice.
One day Stephen seemed in a panic and said "my sister has asked me out on a double date as I lied to her about dating someone to het her off my back and she believed me" Stephen said "please Jasmine help me and pretend to be my date, I would own you a massive favour" Jack thought about it and finally agreed to help his friend out. They went to the dinner and had a great time, the two girls hit it off straight away and they all had a lovely evening. Afterwards, when they were walking home, Stephen thanked Jack profusely for helping him out. "You know, I never really thought about it before, but you're actually quite attractive Jasmine" he said, making Jack blush.
I never thought I would see you in a dress," Stephen teased as they walked home. "You really do look good in it." Jack blushed even harder, feeling self-conscious in the feminine attire. "Well, thank you," he replied, trying to sound casual. "It's not like I get to wear dresses often as i didn't particularly like wearing then."
They continued to walk in silence for a while, until Stephen spoke up. "You know, I've always thought you were special, Jasmine. Even before tonight. You have this... inner strength that I really admire. It's not something you see in many people, especially not women." Jack was taken aback by his words. He wasn't sure how to respond. "Thank you," he managed to say, feeling a warmth spread through his chest.
As they neared Jack's apartment, Stephen took a deep breath. "I want to apologize for lying to you about my sister. I didn't mean to put you in that situation." Jack waved his hand dismissively. "It's fine. Really. I'm just glad I could help you out." They reached the front door to Jack's apartment and stopped. Stephen looked into Jack's eyes and said, "You know, if you ever want to talk about anything... anything at all, I'm here for you." Jack smiled softly and nodded. "Thanks, Stephen. That means a lot to me."
Jack went to his apartment on the next floor and lay on his bed, staring up at the ceiling. He couldn't help but think about what Stephen had said. He had never really thought of himself as special or strong, especially since his transformation. It was nice to hear those words from someone else. He wondered if Stephen would ever find out the truth about him, but then again, maybe it was better if he didn't.
Jack knew Stephen has a day off work the next day and has decided to tell him the truth.
The next day, Jack nervously made his way down to Stephen's apartment. He knocked on the door, and when Stephen answered, he mustered up the courage to tell him the truth about his past. At first, Stephen was shocked and didn't know what to say. He sat down on the couch and looked at Jack, taking in every detail of his face. After a few moments of silence, he finally spoke. "I had my suspicions," he admitted, "but I never wanted to ask. I didn't want to make you feel uncomfortable."
Stephen said "that explains the tomboy stuff and why you don't like dresses or skirts and I appreciate that you helped me out last night even more now, Jasmine. You didn't have to do it but you did and for that, I am truly grateful." Jack smiled softly and said "it was nothing really, I just wanted to help my friend out." They sat there in silence for a while, both lost in their thoughts.
