In the afternoon you received a phone call asking if you could do some overtime in the office as someone hasn't turned up.
You manager said "Skylar could you please come in as we are desperate and we'll pay you triple time as I know you are on annual leave".
You think about it and say "I'll come in tomorrow Sarah".
You boss thanked you and then started chatting to you like a friend and asked you how your new house is looking and how you are.
You are a little surprised but found it nice especially since you feel valued.
You both talked for half an hour and then you carried on with your day.
Next morning
You woke up got breakfast and a shower where you shaved and then got dressed in a nice skirt, blouse and jacket with tights and smart shoes.
Then you left for work and when you arrived you realised how far behind everyone was with paperwork.
You took charge and sorted it all out by the early afternoon and everyone had caught up.
You are requested to attend Sarah's office and she thanked you for helping out today and offered you a position as assistant manager and as her personal assistant.
You accepted the offer and realised she is slightly mothering you.
Memories appear in your head that you started working here when you were 18 years old and Sarah knew your family as she was a close friend of your parents and your godmother took you into her house and under her wing and had helped you through everything, especially when you parents died when you were 10 years old and then when your grandparents died.
When you where 13 years old you asked her to officially adopt you as you started calling her mom.
She has always expected more from you then anyone else in the office and you've always succeeded in all the tasks she's given you.
Sarah said "Skylar I'm really proud of you" you felt happy and said "thanks mom, but won'the others be jealous".
Why would they darling, you work harder then them and they all know it, in fact they recommend that I offer you this position.
