Tom seemed normal

Tom seemed normal looking, but Jessica knew something was a miss. As they walked through the house, Tom took care to check the usual things, the plumbing, the closet space, the kitchen.

Jessica quickly learned that Tom had just broken up with his fiance. She had been cheating on him, with someone from his work. He had needed the fresh start, and his new job as an IT tech didn't require him to come in much.

"So what's so special about this house?" Tom asked. He had been told that a few people had looked at it, but that the previous owners had turned down their offers, which were above market.

"The owner is very particular about who lives here, they said the new owner must want something special."

"And what's that supposed to be?"

"Don't know, they said they would know it when they heard it. What do you want from this house, this home?"

Tom paused and thought about it for a few seconds.
