Chapter #3

A game of Crowns

    by: punkachu Author IconMail Icon
Somewhere in Feudal Europe, a large piece of the land remains unclaimed!...

Or at least, unclaimed by anyone important. This territory is technically home to a variety of secluded Human settlements. However, unlike the majority of the human population at this time, they're yet to bow to any Macro as their Own-I mean, as the guardian of these fragile, delicate smallfries...

So of course that means a few Macros from a variety of other kingdoms have set out with the intent to gain the loyalty of these human groups and begin their own kingdoms...

Velvet Proudpaw, Warden of Warrens
1 mile tall Black and White rabbit

Perhaps the least militant seeming of the would-be rulers of these humans, but still a Macro, Velvet is the Warden of the Warrens, a massive, constantly expanding, half-underground Rabbit Kingdom. Having rose up from the humble start of an orphaned peasant to one of the Queens most trusted advisors, should she manage to claim these lands for the Warrens she would be rewarded with the last thing she truly longs for, a Royal Title of her own. The walls she could construct would hold back any invading Macro, and she would be one of the more fair possible leaders should she succeed...

Redtooth
4 Mile Tall Hyena

Its unknown where Redtooth came from, or even for many, what exactly he is, but for some reason, the King of the Western Den gives this half-blind, cackling fool whatever he requests. Many theorize that, before the King established the Western Den, he had known Redtooth in the farlands, and that Redtooth may know something the King doesn't want known. Now, with full backing of the Western Den's crown, Redtooth has set out to start a kingdom of his own, and possibly bring a pack of his own kind to the realm...

Freya of the Shattered Oath
5 Mile Tall Black Bear

Freya of the Shattered Oath is one of the few surviving members of the Northern Bear Clan. Having been betrayed by their own kin and overwhelmed by enemy forces, she seeks a new home for her people...and she brings the hardiness that her people where once known for with her. Even with her having the smallest overall force she has been able to carve a firm foothold...

Uther the Could-Be King
5'4 Human

Uther has an uphill battle ahead of him. The 18 year old, having found a legendary symbol of heroism and royalty in this realm, has gathered a not-insignificant number of Human Followers to unite the human settlements and establish their own kingdom. Despite having, in numbers, one of the larger armies in the region, well...

Lets be honest any of the giants could take them all out with roughly 4 or 5 steps. Thankfully most Macros, by this point in history, while believing themselves superior, also see themselves as meant to protect humans from themselves and the majority of these forces would rather ignore or humor Uther than slaughter thousands that could not hope to harm them...
