As the current grew stronger, Quentin's efforts to swim against it proved futile. The pull of Rangiku's sake-sipping momentum was too great, and he found himself rapidly approaching her lips.
"Dragon's dung! This is NOT how I want to start surviving for 2 weeks!" He shouted, redoubling his efforts to stay afloat. But the slope of the cup was now too steep, and the liquid beneath him too turbulent. Within moments, he was swept along with the sake, sliding helplessly towards Rangiku's awaiting mouth.
He braced himself as he entered the warm, humid cavern of her mouth, a rush of sake following him. The darkness enveloped him, and he could feel the powerful motion of her tongue as she savored the drink. Quentin tumbled, struggling to find a solid surface to cling to. Desperation mounted as he realized his precarious situation.
In a last effort, he reached out blindly, his fingers brushing against a soft, dangling structure that turned out to be her uvula. Without hesitation, he grabbed it, holding on with all his strength. Rangiku's mouth was filled with the sound of her swallowing, but the uvula seemed to be his only savoir.
Dangling from the uvula, Quentin felt every movement of her throat as she swallowed the sake. His grip was tenuous, and the motion made it difficult to hold on. He could feel the air growing warmer and the environment more humid with each passing second.
“Mmm, this sake is delicious!” Rangiku’s voice boomed around him, the vibrations making it even harder to hold on. Her uvula shook with every word, sending tremors through Quentin’s body. He tightened his grip, knowing that if he lost his hold, he would be swallowed for sure. Rangiku’s giggles reverberated through her mouth, each laugh causing the uvula to quiver violently.
"Ugh..." he muttered to himself. "How do I get out of this mess?"
He tried to swing himself, using the uvula as a pivot, hoping to gain enough momentum to reach another part of her mouth where he might find a more stable surface. However, each swing seemed to make Rangiku react, her throat muscles contracting and causing him to lose his rhythm.
Suddenly, a thought crossed his mind. If he could somehow make her cough by punching it, she might react in a way that would get him out. With a big sigh and clinching his fist, he lightly punches it, hoping to create a sensation that would prompt her to notice something unusual in her mouth.
Just as he predicted, Rangiku's body reacted instantly to the unexpected sensation. Her mouth opened wider as she made a sudden gagging noise, and the uvula moved violently, shaking Quentin and making it even harder for him to hold on.
"Whoa!" He felt the uvula shift and hoped it would prompt the reaction he needed.
Rangiku's tongue moved around, trying to figure out what was causing the discomfort. Quentin felt himself being jostled, but he held on tightly, knowing that this was his best chance. The gagging noise grew louder, and Quentin could feel the vibrations through her uvula as she was ready to either cough up or swallow whatever it is.
