Chapter #3

Vampire weaknesses

Decapitation: This will end a vampire's undead existence immediately, and permanently. You have to be pretty strong to try it, though.
Fire: This can completely destroy a vampire's body, if it has the time to consume them.
Wooden stake through the heart: This can paralyze a vampire, for as long as the stake remains in the heart. If the stake is removed, however, the wound will heal immediately.
Silver: Silver is toxic to vampires; if it's taken away, though, the vampire will recover fully.
Sunlight: Although it's not immediately destructive, it does cause pain, and it can slowly weaken the vampire to death.
Blood: Nothing else will do for a vampire. Human blood is strongly preferred, as animal blood is both lacking in refreshment and bad tasting.
Invitation only: Vampires cannot enter a private dwelling without the permission of the owner. However, if the owner put out a literal welcome mat, that is enough.
