The Kingdom of Ryderias lies in the geographical centre of the human domain. Hard times and the recent ’Wheat Rebellion’ resulted in the establishment of a new royal line. Though the newly crowned King quickly disappeared his oldest son, Rupert, took over in a fairly smooth process. The younger son, Trey, suspect that his brother got rid of their father and sets his sight on the royal throne.
The Kingdom is full of castles, baronies and villages. Magic exist but is unknown to most people and those wielding it are shunned from society out of fear.
The magic types that are most heard of are ‘transformation’, ‘divine’ and ‘necromancy’ though the last one is extremely dangerous not only to the surrounding but also to the wielder. There certainly are more types of magic that are less known or entirely unknown.
Who will the story follow in a world of intense intrigue and dangerous enemies?
Duke Trey Wyvernhart:
Being in his early twenties he tackles every huddle in his way. Most describe him as arrogant and reckless but those who know him think highly of him. His goals are to become King and if possible, find out what happened to his father.
King Rupert Wyvernhart:
In his mid twenties he lacks experience in dealing with royal duties. He holds his brother dear but hates their uncle. He strives to be a great, loved King but can’t help but find himself unable to reach his ambitions and he has to keep a constant eye on his rivals.
Petros the Seer:
A man in his late fifties, he kept his aptitude for magic secret for many years but embraced it later on. Cast out of his home town by his scared kinsmen, he now lives in the nearby forest and became know as a seer that those who are brave seek out on their travels.
