You consider the options before you, the excitement building as you think about the temporary changes that are about to occur in your mind. After a moment of thought, you tell Rico that you want to focus on Cognitive modifications.
Rico nods and begins to click through the menus, adjusting sliders and making selections. You can see him move the creativity slider up a few clicks, and you can't help but smile at the thought of being a little more imaginative.
As he continues, you watch as he selects "Memory" and dials it back significantly. You start to question him, but he interrupts you before you can say anything.
"Don't worry," he reassures you, his dominant tone soothing. "You're not going to forget anything important, just some of the things that cause you stress and anxiety."
You nod, feeling a sense of trust and vulnerability with him. You can see him decreasing the Perception and Attention sliders, and you can feel your concern growing.
"Please be careful," you say, feeling grateful to have Rico by your side but nervous about the options chosen. He responds with a smile and reaches over to rub your head, making you feel at ease.
As he presses the initiate button, you feel a strange sensation in your head, almost like a buzzing feeling. You lose concentration for a few minutes, your thoughts muddled and unclear.
But soon enough, the fuzziness clears, but your mind feels a bit dull and less focused than before. You turn to Rico, feeling a sense of awe and gratitude for what he has done for you.
"That was amazing," you say, your voice filled with wonder. "I feel so much better now."
Rico smiles, his hand resting on your shoulder. "I'm glad to hear it. You deserve to feel your best, and I'm happy to help."
