This story line by Dark Dragon will be running tandem to the Tristan Heavyweight story line but not be dependent on that storyline. Feel free to branch off as this will only be happening on the chapters by myself, Dark Dragon.
Alejandro groaned as his alarm blared next to his ear. "Why did I set that damn thing? It's Saturday!" He groaned hitting it hard enough to knock it off the nightstand. Rolling over, he went back to sleep.
His phone ringing woke him up again. Groaning at the early morning interruption, he glanced at clock to see why someone would be calling at that time but found it missing. Looking on the floor, he found it at the base of the nightstand. The display on the clock cracked and devoid of light. Rolling his eyes as he scooped up the remains to set back on the nightstand for now, he grabbed his phone to check who had called. It had already stopped ringing by that point, not that he actually cared. Flipping his phone open, he looked at who would be calling him at...
11:30!
"Crap! I'm late." His tone failed to convey any actual concern.
His phone rang again, Chad's name and number flashing on the screen.
"Hey Chad. What's up? Was just about to head out to practice."
"Hey Pinocchio, your nose just grew a foot with that one. I woke you up and we both know it."
Alejandro chuckled. "Can't run anything by you."
"Seriously, with your laziness, I'm surprised you got on the team or into Tau Beta Omega."
"Hey, don't bash my frat house. They're good guys!"
"I didn't say anything about them. I was talking about you. You're the one that is so lazy that I had to drag you to classes all of last year. How are you going to get to classes now? I won't be there to wake you up and we have practice in the afternoon, so you can't take afternoon classes to sleep in."
"Okay, mom. You can stop worrying."
"How about I worry about us being late because I'm already out front and we have to be at practice in less than half an hour."
"Okay, okay. Let me get dressed and I'll be right down." He hung up before getting Chad's response. Rummaging through his dresser, he found his football pants but couldn't find his full shirt, only his half shirt, so he quickly threw that on and ran down the stairs.
"Look out. Bulldozer's running late!" Christopher, Alejandro's friend and frat brother, shouted to the laughter of the all their brothers.
"Yeah, yeah. See you guys later." He laughed as he slammed the door behind himself.
"About time." Chad yelled from the driver's seat of his mustang.
"Stop complaining. I'm here and we can still easily make it on time."
Chad rolled his head. "You couldn't at least get your full shirt?"
Alejandro shrugged. "Didn't have time. I'll find it later. Are we going or not?"
Chad shook his head as he started pulling away. "Wait!" He stopped as Chris came running out of the house. "Dude, you'd forget your head if it wasn't attached to your shoulders," he laughed as he threw Alejandro's shoes into his lap. Chad rolled his eyes at Alejandro and waved to Chris as he pulled away from the curb.
"We have time to get something to eat?" Alejandro asked as they pulled into traffic moving around campus, his stomach growling.
"No. You should have gotten up earlier if you wanted some breakfast before practice."
Alejandro pouted in his seat but said nothing as they pulled into the stadium parking lot.
"You going to the party at Elijah's frat tonight?" Chad asked Alejandro as they got out of the car.
"Only if you're going. You're my ride after all."
Chad snickered. "Yeah, yeah. Be ready by 7 then," he instructed as they headed in, "or else you're walking."
