The shockwave of the impact hurled you and Townsend beneath the drainpipe, crashing painfully but not injuriously into the wall. You were a jumble of limbs, in pain, but not dead - yet. The thunderous impacts were absolute hell on your ears as you watched this apocalyptic meteor shower, huddled together for warmth.
"I knew outside would be bad, but I didn't think it'd be THIS bad," you said.
"What?" yelled Townsend.
You didn't reply.
It took a while, but eventually it subsided. Your ears were ringing but you were otherwise fine, and you both crawled out from under the pipe.
