Your friends kept making fun of you for getting the “special” deck of cards at the new magic shop earlier that day. You didn’t care though, you could just tell that there was something different about them, and after reading the rules sheet it came with, you were shocked. According to the sheet, this deck allowed you to play poker in a very ‘special’ way. This revelation made you think of all the crazy outcomes that could come of playing.
Now you knew it sounded crazy, so instead of telling the whole group, you just decided to tell your best friend Mason first. Obviously he didn’t believe but you were determined it would work. After some convincing he finally agreed to go to the group and present the idea of the game.
When you two told the rest of the group, most of them thought you were crazy for even somewhat believing in it, but they all agreed to play, even if it was just to make you seem dumb. Isabel decided that even if it sounded crazy, she should try to believe you and go into the game having fun and not thinking about making you seem dumb.
After what seemed like forever, you finally got everyone to sit down at your dining room table and get ready to play. Cards were dealt and everyone started to get excited about winning (even though most didn’t believe in the trait swapping part). Once everyone had their cards, something strange seemed to happen, as a sort of mist filled the room for a split second. As fast as it came, it disappeared, and it seemed everyone had a new opinion on if the deck actually works as advertised.
“What the fuck just happened,” yelled Kennedy. “I have no clue,” you said. In actuality the game had just begun and the most was to identify the players and gather all their traits sort of like a database. “I’m getting the fuck out of here”, said Elliot, as he tried to walk away he seemed to be stuck. In fact, all of you seemed to be stuck sitting down. You decided you guys might as well play and said, “Since we seem to be stuck let’s try and play.” Everyone nodded their heads in agreement as the game officially begun.
Everyone seemed to think they had a good hand and so the bets started rolling in. Kennedy decided that if she really can loose traits of herself, she was going to just bet her eye color, while Mason found it fun and was feeling risky so he bet his height. After seeing Mason bet a big part of himself, Isabel decided that, even though it’d be fun to be tall, she was going to fold. You were very excited and seemed to have what you thought was an unbeatable hand, so you went big and bet your personality and body shape. Eliiot and Sammy both thought they were in the same boat as you, so they both put in their body shape.
Ultimately, who wins?
