Path 1

“Mom I’m sorry but I’ve made my decision.” You said as you stood in the doorway with your suitcase.

Your parents were in the middle of going through a messy divorce. It all started when your father had an affair with his secretary a couple months ago and your father admitted it.

You couldn’t say you were surprised. Your father and mother had been having issues for years. The main cause for all these problems was well…your mother was a witch.

Yes a real witch. She came from a long line of them. She knew how to cast spells, brew potions, everything. Her magic was something she was supposed to keep a secret but she always found ways to use it in your lives.

You didn’t have any magical abilities and neither did your father. Honestly you were getting sick and tired of your mom always whipping out a spell to try and solve some
Problem. Half the time you it just ended up making things worse.

The magic your mother created was great at changing things but terrible at changing things back. There was no undo button if she suddenly turned your car into a horse by mistake. Or the time as a child she made your bicycle able to fly but you couldn’t go back down…Crashing into a tree and having to be rescued by the fire department as a child was never what you dreamed of when you thought magic.

With the divorce finished and your dad moved out you had to decide who to life with. You had just turned 18 and were in your last year of high school. You wanted to stay and support your mother but lately she had turned to alcohol to solve her depression. She was downing multiple bottles a day. Magically refilling her glass whenever it was empty.

She had gotten angry, bitter and depressed. Lashing out and her magic was widely unpredictable. For your own safety and sanity you thought it best you finish the year living with your dad.

However now that you were leaving, your mother already drunk and out of control was shouting at you. Threatening and cursing you with every breath.

“I should have known my son would be a traitor just like his father. I wanted a girl you know! Someone to pass
My magic too! I begged your dad to let me turn you into a girl when you were young but he refused.” Your mother said slurring her words.

“I’m sorry mom. I just can’t see you do this to yourself.” You said opening the door about to leave.

“No! Don’t leave! Stay be my perfect girl! Be my amazing perfect daughter! I’ll make you sexy! Ill
Make you the sexiest girl of your age! Would that be awesome?” She said.

You just rolled your eyes. “No mom…I have a girlfriend. I’m going to college. I’ll see you holidays. Please seek help.” You said as you opened the door.

“No! Don’t go!” Your mom said as she suddenly stood up as her hands began to glow with a green energy.

You knew this meant she was trying to cast a spell. You tried to talk her out of this.

“Wait mom don’t!” You tried to say but it was too late.

Your mom waived her hands as a sudden burst of green and purple energy flew out of hands hitting you square in the chest sending you flying in to the back wall.
