You, Calvin, were with your roommate Derek and his girlfriend Robin...

It was no secret that you and Robin didn't get along, you'd tried, but you just had nothing in common, you and Derek like board games and had games nights often, Robin had joined but just wasn't into it and sucked the fun out of it

Robin liked other things doing other things and generally you weren't invited, which was fair, and when you were, you not only didn't care for the activities but also felt like a third wheel, obviously.

And the worst was she was argumentative, it felt like almost weekly there'd be screaming matches between them in the middle of the night.

To be fair You had had conversations with her about it.

"He's a great guy" she said "But sometimes he can be a total asshole, I don't want to argue, he starts it."

You doubted that you'd known Derek forever, he was a great guy
