Following Hearlines good storyline
for shrinking but with a twist.
Our story begins at the playground, on a crisp, bright autumn afternoon. The playground was abuzz with the cheerful laughter and squeals of children of all ages. Some were swinging, some were sliding, some were playing tag...
...and then there was Annabelle, a chubby 20-month-old baby in a pink tee and diaper, who was happily sitting in the sandbox and enjoying some candy that her mother had given her. Unfortunately, she was about to run afoul of the playground's biggest bully. A shadow was cast over her, and she looked up to see Angelica Pickles' sneering face.
"Well, well, well. How nice of you to hold onto that treat for me."
She snatched the candy out of Annabelle's hand. The baby's expression changed from confusion to shock to utter dismay, tears welling up in her eyes.
"But... but that's mine," she whimpered.
"Too bad. I'm bigger than you, so that means I can do what I want."
Little did she know that she was being watched by Annabelle's mother - a witch named Mary Beth.
Bigger, hmm”she thought
“Well if the little brat wants to be
to big for her britches let’s give it
to her.
Bold brat, hold my hat,
Too big for her britches
this curse will come with hitches
until your attitude switches,
your altitude grows multitudes,
this curse behold will become
self untold”
The stolen candy glowed as
Angelica ate it and she briefly
felt strange.
She had no clue she’d just grown
3 inches taller nor that she
was now cursed to have random
growth spurts until her size
led to a significant change in
attitude rather that’s fearing growth,
or a true repentance, or
somehow becoming nicer,
or even admitting she’s too big
for her britches and developing
the opinion bigger is not necessarily
better.
