Lori was currently driving Vanzilla. Lincoln was there, but you wouldnât know it from all the new clothes, shoes, makeup, and other stuff she bought. âYâknow, Lincoln. Youâve been a very big help today. So much so, that Iâll put in a good word with Bobby, so he can let Ronnie Anne know. Thatâll help you right?â
âThanks?,â Lincoln said, buried under bags of sweaters. âWhereâd you get the money for this?â
âI won a contest. A hundred thousand dollars that I could only spend on clothes and it would only be valid if only you came with me,â Lori answered. âBobby is so going to love the little red number Iâll wear on our date in a few months.â
âWhat contest was it?â Lincoln asked, feeling a little upset that none of the money could be used for a comic book.
âDunno, but Leni and I do enter any free contest we can, âcause free stuff rules! Woo!â Lori replied and fist-pumped at the end. âAnd a word of advice, since I wonât be living at home anymore and it canât backfire on me, even if the free stuff from a contest sucks, you can always trade it to one of our other siblings for something you really wanted, just a favor, or even to build up good will.â
âHuhâŚâ Lincoln muttered, wondering how many of the little âjust keep it between you and meâ gifts he got from Leni and Lori were just to keep him on their sides.
Lori noticed that the gas was running a little low. She looked ahead and saw a sign that a gas station would be just off the beaten path. As she took the turn, she smiled, saying, âMan, today really is my day.â
A little bit after Vanzilla was out of sight, the Sign faded away, as if it never existed.
After some time, Loriâs good mood vanished. âCâmon, Câmon! Whereâs the gas?â
âIn your gut,â Lincoln thought.
âLincoln, look out the window. Can you find anything that looks like a gas station?â Lori asked as she slowed down Vanzilla.
Lincoln shifted a little, trying to move. Alas, there were too many clothes. âSorry, Lori, I canât.â
She stopped the van and angrily looked back. She looked sheepishly embarrassed when she saw how Lincoln was bundled down by shopping bags. He was like that because she didnât want him to move and ruin her day. âSorry, Linc. Iâll call and-â
Her phone displayed that there was no call signal. She blinked. She restarted her phone. She restarted it again. âLincoln, did you bring your phone with you?â
âYes, but itâs in my pocket,â Lincoln replied.
âThen hand it ov-oh,â Lori said as she stuck her hand out at Lincoln and recalled he was almost buried in clothes. She looked down and began to tap her fingers on the wheel, trying to think up a solution.
âLori, are you still driving?â Lincoln asked.
âNo, weâre almost out of gas,â Lori spat out. âWhy do you ask?â
âBecause weâre moving, but upwards,â Lincoln answered.
Lori looked up and gasped. After rolling down her door window, she leaned out and uttered, âAh bababababaâŚâ
âWhat is it?â Lincoln asked, really hating how he was buried.
After leaning back in the car and taking a deep breath, Lori answered, âYou know how Lisa really wanted to see some real life space aliens a while back?â
âYes?â Lincoln asked as his eyes widened
âWell, if⌠When we get back home, sheâll be picking our brains for the flying saucer abducting us, figuratively and literally,â Lori answered, trying to stay calm for Lincolnâs sake.
Before Lincoln could say anything, there was a bright flash.

âEugh⌠What happened?â Lincoln asked as he slowly awoke on a comfortable bed. He looked around and saw that he and Lori were lying on high-tech medical beds out of a Scifi show. There was only enough bright light to light up the beds, as the rest of the room was in darkness.
Lori was slowly waking up. When she saw Lincoln, she quickly awoke and spat, âWhat are you doing in my room, Lincoln?â
âYour room? Arenât we in a hospital⌠Wait,â Lincoln said as he and Lori quickly got on their feet.
Lori looked around and gasped. She ran over to Lincoln and stood over him in a protective manner.
âWorry not, Lincoln and Lori Loud. We come in peace,â A voice cooed.
âHow do you know our names? Show yourselves!â Lori ordered, her hands curled into fists.
âWe know because weâve been watching Earth for a long time. Sometimes, helping out from time to time to ensure that Earth is protected from threats, both outside and within⌠Also, we checked your wallets,â The voice replied. âAs for showing ourselves. We just were going to.â
âWait a moment. Does that mean you were responsible for my shopping trip?â Lori asked.
âYes, " The voice said before its owner stepped out of the darkness and into the light, along with several others like them. They werenât human, but were humanoid. They wore tight-fitting spacesuits that showed off their amazing figures. They wereâŚ
