Chief Wesson looked over the busted lab report and found formulas for a pill that would deworm an animal forever, a formula to straighten curly hair and a more interesting one to him, a muscle growth serum. Chief Wesson remembered how he used to be trim and strong when he was younger and how he was now. A couple of years ago he was able to maintain a more muscular frame since he would go out on patrol on foot. His old routine was able to accommodate his growing gut and gave him the strength to handle his weight. Over the last few years as he became Chief he found he was behind the desk more and more often. Sure he made it to the gym twice a week but he has noticed that his muscle mass has been slowly shrinking making his ball belly sag a little more every year. Chief Wesson feared that in a few years his gut would hang low and he would be winded and sweaty walking up the few steps to address the graduating high school students. Chief Wesson imagined himself taking this serum and toning up a bit. Hardening his softening pecs, growing thicker arms that pushed against his sleeves, getting stronger legs and core muscles to help support him for years to come and a bigger, firmer keg gut.
Chief Wesson was hard just thinking about it. He read the paper and it explained nearly everything that anyone with a half a brain for chemistry would be able to figure out. Thankfully Chief Wesson took a few chemistry classes in college, while he was rusty he knew enough to know the terms and what the instructions were asking for.
The instructions said the formula encouraged muscle growth and would reflect the type of activity the user does following taking the formula. If they focused on the upper body then the chest, arms, upper back and such would see the best improvements. Chief Wesson knew he had to put together a good workout to focus his attention on his core, arms and legs and keep his thick gut.
Chief Wesson took a picture of the document and returned it to the filing cabinet and left the evidence locker.
That evening Chief Wesson checked out a couple of chemistry for beginners videos on YouTube to brush up on his terms, what he needed and skills.
Over the course of the next week he slowly amassed the supplies he needed and started to get the chemicals and materials he needed. Several of the materials he needed as actually food that needed to be boiled down or dried and made into powder.
Chief Wesson kind of felt like a bit of a mad scientist sneaking away after dinner with his wife to go play with his chemistry set.
After a couple of weeks and a near fire in his basement Chief Wesson had finally perfected his formula. He decided he would take it after work and then go hit up the gym and keep going to the gym every day after work to get the results he wanted. He poured his result into a test tube and placed it into his briefcase and took it to work the next day.
