The days passed, and still I grew. I grew beyond the official record holders for the tallest people in the world. I was no longer freakish; I was positively gigantic.
Twenty days after I got sprayed, I was ten feet tall; double my original height, and dwarfing all the people around me. Even Dad looked like a little kid next to me. At our get-togethers, I sat on the floor, as I was too big for furniture, and I was still taller than them in their chairs. "What do you want to do today?" I asked.
"More like what we need to do," Mom replied. "You're up to ten feet now, which means you need some new clothes."
I smiled. "You did a good job last time. The staff here are jealous of my outfits; they call them the Linen Line."
Sam beamed at the compliment for her designs, as Dad excused himself again.
"I've got some notes for you this time," I continued. "Don't be afraid of showing some skin; I don't mind if you show my knees, or my midriff."
"Trying to attract somebody's attention?" Mom asked.
"I don't need to try to do that," I replied. "I'm just more comfortable with less clothing."
"At least it means we'll have more material for the parts we still need," Sam observed. "But warn us if you decide to go naked."
And so my new wardrobe was created. As before, Mom measured, Becca made my underwear, and Sam made my dresses.
When Dad came back in, he was a little taken aback by how much skin I was showing. "Couldn't you have made them longer?" he asked.
"I asked them to shorten them, Dad" I replied. "I'm more comfortable this way."
"You used to call me Daddy."
"What can I say? Your little girl is growing up."
"Not needing as much material for the length let us make them able to let out more," Sam said. "This version of the Linen Line should take her up to 15 feet, if she needs it."
"And I think I will," I added. "I just hope I don't get too big; I'd hate to start feeling claustrophobic in this warehouse. Not to mention, I already eat more than all four of you put together."
