Like many high street chains, Wilko and Kwik Save could no longer compete with online shops and more competitive megastores. As a result, both stores were closed leading to the redundancy of all the staff including the cafés and beauty salons.
Donna ends up using her redundancy money to buy a small, spooky old hotel at the edge of town and ends up employing a small handful of her former colleagues.
Upon refurbishing the hotel, Donna discovers a magic ring that allows the wearer to copy the body or individual body parts of another person just by touching an item of their clothing. The ring can also be used to initiate direct swaps / body part swaps simply by touching another person.
Struggling to come up with a name for her hotel, Donna gives the hotel the tongue—in—cheek name "The Exchange".

Donna, 51, the hotel owner was Kwik Save's former assistant manager, she was also a former Wilko employee who departed from the company on less than good terms. Donna had more than a few run-ins with Wilko's former assistant manager Liz in the past. Donna purchased the hotel as an investment, and also as something for her children to inherit. Donna has leveraged herself financially to purchase the hotel, she is desperate for this to work out, otherwise she will be financially ruined. Looking good for her age, Donna is an attractive woman, 5'5" tall, shoulder-length black hair and a nice figure. Due to past jealousy of Liz's breast size, Donna spent a lot of money to have fake DD breast implants. After discovering the magic ring, Donna likes to take on the form of younger women, she has also developed penis envy and often likes to wear a cock and balls on her sexy female form. Liz, 39, the hotel's front desk receptionist was the former assistant manager of Wilko. Liz is 5'4" tall, her light brown hair is long, past her shoulders and she wears it in a ponytail nearly all of the time. She has size 30H-cup breasts, average curves and an ample backside. Liz is now separated and divorced from her ex-husband Eric. Liz has sole custody of her six-year old son Ethan due to Eric not being the biological father. Caroline, 47, the hotel's head maid and Donna's friend, used to be a supervisor at Wilko. Becky, 25, the hotel's marketing and administration guru, is Caroline's eldest daughter and the older sister of Lindsey. As unpopular at his new work place as he was at Wilko And Kwik Save, Liam doesn't let it get to him, continuing to work at his own pace. Liam stands 5'8" tall, has an average figure and a pretty crappy attitude. Liam has started growing his hair again, but it isn't too long at the moment. Donna only employed Liam so that she could fuck with him using the ring. Donna dictates the form that Liam takes on, but he seems to secretly enjoy it, much to Donna's chagrin.
Jack, 19, is a general worker at the hotel and is also Donna's son. The former Kwik Save employee is quite handsome but lacks the confidence that normally accompanies good looks. He is only 5'8" tall, has short brown hair and has an athletic build due to playing football a lot when he was younger. He only works part-time at the hotel due to also starting a college course to help fill his time. Jack does not yet have a girlfriend.
Paisley, 22, is Donna's daughter and her eldest child. Formerly a waitress at Kwik Save's café, Paisley now runs the hotel's kitchen. A slender girl with a bright smile, Paisley has dark blonde hair instead of her brother's brown hair, which has sparked gossip among Donna's acquaintances as to whether Paisley is actually the daughter of Donna's husband Graham. Paisley is 5'7", and she has a decent figure, including a perky pair of C-cup breasts, and likes to wear her hair down. Paisley is secretly a lesbian and is currently single after her girlfriend Sabine moved back to Germany after losing her job at the Wilko café.
Charlie> 23, is a general worker at the hotel and the only member of staff who doesn't have a background at either Wilko or Kwik Save. After graduating university a couple of years ago, Charlie has been hopping from dead end job to dead end job. Although from down south, Charlie knows Rotherham well as his mother is from Doncaster. Charlie is 6'1" with short brown hair and is fairly average looking and in fairly good shape, hitting the gym twice a week. Charlie moved to Rotherham as he could no longer afford to live down South. Charlie has an attractive mother Helen, 46, a 5'1" former county level gymnast with a great figure and pert c-cup breasts.
