"There's my Adrie Pie," Ethan warmly beckoned from the park bench. "Been waiting for you."
"Yeah I got a bit held up with my science professor, but anyway I'm here now," Adriana beamed.
"Ah yeah Professor Miller can be a little hard sometimes. I struggled in that class some," Ethan smiled as Adriana sat up next to him. "But you know me, I was able to get my grades back up before I finished."
"You sure did, and I am very proud of you," Adriana replied. "I can't believe you got an A minus on the final exam," Adriana laughed.
Adriana liked no part of the day better when she was with her boyfriend. He was the star in her otherwise dull life, and he always knew the right things to say. She was lucky to have him and it showed.
"Well what can I say? You know I have an amazing tutor," Ethan grinned.
"And I know how much you love it when she's over," Adriana shot back.
Ethan's attention soon diverted from Adriana to his buzzing phone. "Oh it's my Mom, been having a little bit of family issues so I gotta take this. I will be right back," Ethan said before walking 15 feet away from the bench.
Adriana waited on the bench when she heard the roaring of thunder.
"Damn," she thought. Just what she needed, a storm right now.
Before Adriana could get up to walk towards Ethan, she was struck by a bolt of lightning. She felt waves of energy engulf her body which to her confusion did not hurt at all. She was shocked and couldn't move. It was the strangest sensation she ever felt. After the energy wave subsided, Adriana knew that somehow she had gained the ability to swap people anyway she wanted. She had no idea the exact lengths she could go, but it was enough to make her want to explore her new found ability. She just hope she hadn't gone crazy and the whole thing was just a dream. As she looked up, she noticed that the sky was already clearing up and was surprised to see that there was no longer any thunder or lightning. "How strange," she thought to herself.
Ethan soon ran back to the bench, "Sorry about that, it was a bit of a misunderstanding, but nothing for you to worry about."
"Oh, good, I am glad you fixed everything," Adriana said.
Ethan sat down extending his arm out so Adriana could snuggle into him. "I don't want you to worry about anything," Ethan replied.
"That's good because you are the best boyfriend ever," Adriana giggled.
"Yeah?" Ethan smiled.
"Definitely!" Adriana assured him.
As she leaned against his athletic muscular body, Adriana's focus went back to the new power she supposedly had. It seemed impossible that she could really control people with her mind. It was so far fetched. But if it was true, that meant she could shake up her boring life and have even more fun with Ethan.
Adriana contemplated on what to do. Scanning around she noticed 4 possible subjects: A young man jogging, an elderly couple arguing, a mother dragging around her whining 4 year old son, and a group of teens playing soccer. What did Adriana decide on?
