“Will? Curt? I need you two to start cleaning out the Fusion Machine. We have to make sure it won’t be contaminated with outside bio life and skew the results. I’m going to be setting up the test subjects for the experiment,” called out Dr. Diana Highgrove.
“Sure,” called out Will and Curt simultaneously.
They both heading over to the Fusion Machine, which was a machine that looked similar to a full glassed phone booth, and started to clean the outside of the machine.
“What are you going to try to combine today, Dr. Highgrove?” asked Curt Conversationally.
Stepping into a broom closet, Dr. Highgrove said, “Well, I have a couple of chairs here I wanted to see if I could combine into one. All the mathematical and testing the machine steps have been done and I would like to move onto actual objects.”
“That’s sounds cool,’ said Will. ‘It’ll be like two things changed into one.”
“Yeah,” agreed Curt.
Dr. Highgrove walked out of the closet with a small swivel chair, put it down next to the machine, and walked back into the closet to get a 2nd chair, she said, “Be careful you two. Don’t accidently activate the machine while you’re cleaning it.”
“We are,” said Curt, switching from the outside of the machine to the inside, not realizing Will did the same thing at almost the exact same second. Bumping into Will, curt said ‘sorry’ as he stepped away, not realizing he bumped into the ‘activate’ button.
