In A Dark Museum

Original Author: _H_

You awoke and found yourself surrounded by darkness. Feeling around, you felt nothing but a hard surface. As your eyes adjusted to the darkness, you began to make out where exactly you were. It seemed as though you were in some kind of…museum? You wanted to call it that, but everything seemed to be much larger than it should be. Maybe it was an optical illusion, since you know there’s quite a few places that do tricks like this.

You could faintly see moonlight coming in through a window in the distance. Guess that explains why no one’s at this museum. As you walked across the floor, the truth began to sink in. This was no optical illusion, everything really was gigantic! You quickly calmed your nerves. Maybe you could find a night guard to help you? But then you’d also have to somehow get their attention…

Atop a nearby stand, you saw a strange, glowing crystal. It was basically the only source of light in this whole room. You didn’t want to risk staying on the floor any longer, so you make your way over to the stand. Thankfully, it was shaped somewhat like a pyramid, so you could quite easily climb up it. Well, perhaps ‘easy’ is putting it lightly. The steps were still massive, with you needing to climb onto each one.

Eventually, you reached the crystal. It had quite the enchanting glow! You reached out to touch it, when you heard footsteps in the distance. You panicked, as you weren’t sure what they’d think if they saw you so close to this crystal. It seemed quite valuable, so there was a chance they’d mistake you as a bug, or even a tiny thief! Thinking quickly, you dash behind it. The foot steps got louder and louder as they seemed to approach closer and closer.

Who was it that approached this crystal?
