"Honestly, Ronald! Do you have butterbeer in your ears or-" Hermione's typical ranting came to a halt and Ron shot up upon her coming in. There was a short awkward silence between the two as Ron was in little more than his boxers, every pound he gained being on full display. Hermione's eyes traveled briefly over Ron's body, lingering on his stomach before she caught herself. "Couldn't you at least make an effort to get dressed?" She said with a slight blush on her face.
"Oi! I'm not the one who barges into people's bedrooms unannounced!" Ron replied, trying to salvage the situation by covering his waist with his covers, even though he knew very well that the damage was already done. "Whatever. Your mother wants you to come down for lunch. And please put on some clothes before you do." With that, Hermione left Ron's room quicker than she entered it.
Ron sighed and threw the covers off of him. Hermione didn't mention his weight so maybe she didn't notice, he thought. Then again, it wouldn't be like Hermione to miss something so....obvious.
Ron got off his bed and decided to put on some clothes. He grabbed some jeans out of his closet and put them on. When he went to button them however, he found himself struggling. "Oh no. Oh hell no." Ron said to himself as he realized the jeans weren't going to button. "I bought these not even a year ago."
Defeated, he gave up on trying to get them buttoned and fell back onto his bed, causing his soft belly to jiggle slightly. "What am I going to do now?"
