It was a lovely spring day in Shinjuku, Japan.
The birds were singing, the small district was busy with activity, and the fresh city air combed the area.
As many people flood the street, a certain golden fox took to the rooftops.
Wearing her purple armbands with balance symbols, this fox like creature was known only as Renamon.
As she gracefully jumped from one roof-top to the next, she started to remember how she was able to return to earth.

A year ago, Renamon was training in a forest when a thunder storm started to appear in the sky above.
Not wanting to get her fur wet, she headed to a nearby cave for shelter.
As the storn started to down pour, a stray lightning bolt struck a bolder a couple of yards away.
As she looked to the wrecked boulder, she noticed something odd.
"Is that... No, it cant' be... But yet... Is it really a digital field?"
Taking a closer look, she saw her tamer, Rika Nanoka.
Always wanting to return to her, she didn't want to pass this up.
Getting to her feet, Renamon ran at full sprint into the digital field, not once caring if she might get struck by lightning or soaking wet.
Jumping through the digital field, Renamon floated through the digital space between the two worlds for what felt like years, feeling her strength being drained little by little by a unknown force.
Seeing a bright light ahead of her, she braced herself before being thrown into Rika's room.
Feeling tired, the last thing Renamon had seen before slipping into sleep was the surprised face of her old partner after seeing her again.

After waking up, she told Rika about how she managed to return to her.
After that, the rest of the team managed to get all there old partners back in similiar ways.
Even Alice and Jeri managed to get there partners Leomon and Dobermon, back. But thats a story for another time.
Seeing her destination in sight, she gracefully landed at the front door of the Matsuki Bakery.
Walking in, she noticed the smell of fresh baked goods that enticed anyone who enters the family owned establishment.
