Yang was frustrated, earlier that night he had met the new captain of the Tokyo Flower Division. To say he wasn't impressed would be an understatement, the guy seemed like a total wreck. However despite his clear incompetence and the Flower Division not even being able to perform a simple play without catastrophe he said he would turn the Division's luck around and win the Combat Revue games.
This made Yang mad, so mad that his cooking tonight was only amazing and not perfect! While he was positive he could beat the Flower Divison in the Combat Revue games he didn't want this farce to go even that far!
That's why he was preparing something special in tonight's dish. A special combination of spices that would literally make the soul leave the body. He had a special plan to take the Flower Division out of the games before they even begin! He would launch his spirit into the current Flower Divison captain and bring down everyone's spirits until they completely quit the games!
Taking a bite of his new creation, the Dragon Spirit Rice, Yang felt the most bliss food could possibly provide a person and before he could even take notice he was a ghost floating above his body. The spices had worked!

Floating his way over to the theater as it was closing for the night, Yang saw the Flower Divison's captain Kami-something saying goodbye to guests. This was his chance!
