This choice: She'll start by making sure that Sarah doesn't graduate • Go Back... It was a fairly typical morning for the Williams family. Mom and dad were in the kitchen making breakfast for their beloved twin daughters, who were in their rooms getting ready for school.
"I get to shower first!" Sarah spouted, pushing her sister out of the way, rushing into the bathroom, and locking the door.
"That brat, always trying to get her way. I'll show her." Lucy thought as she went over to Sarah's backpack and pulled out Sarah's notes and homework. Lucy knew that Sarah always spent upwards of 40 minutes in the shower, so she had plenty of time to alter, discard, and switch out much of Sarah's school work from the year. Before 20 minutes had passed Lucy had already tainted Sarah's notes with numerous incorrect answers. She also did the same to her homework, even going so far as to remove her name from some and discard others. Finally she got to her sisters senior portfolio, she replaced her essays with similar copies littered with misspellings and other mistakes. Sarah was already a poorly preforming student, if she wasn't such a hard worker it's unlikely she'd be graduating at all this year. As such, Lucy was sure that what she did to her notes alone would be enough to ensure that Sarah fails any upcoming assignments and finals badly enough for her to have to repeat the year; but that just the beginning of her plan.
By the time Sarah was out of the shower Lucy had hidden any trace of her work. Sarah excited the bathroom with a look of smug satisfaction on her face.
"Okay dork, your turn to use the bathroom."
"Thanks." Lucy says sarcastically as she enters the bathroom."
Sarah finished getting dressed in their shared bedroom and grabbed her backpack before heading downstairs for breakfast.
"Good morning mommy and daddy!" Sarah beamed as she entered the kitchen.
"Morning sweetheart" her parents said in near unison.
"We made pancakes and bacon for breakfast hunny, have a seat and I'll bring you some." Her mom says sweetly, rarely missing an opportunity to dote on her daughter.
"Thank you mommy." Sarah said taking a seat at the table.
The girls mom, Ava, brought two plates to the table, one for herself and her daughter. They're dad, Mason, has already begun eating as soon as breakfast was ready.
By the time Lucy has made her way downstairs the rest of the family was nearly finished eating.
"Good morning darling, let me fix you a plate of pancakes." Ava said, about to get up from her seat.
"I'm not a little kid mom, I can dish up my own food." Lucy said before tacking on a quick "thank you though." Lest she sound ungrateful.
"Oh, okay." Ava said, before continuing, " I'm going to need to be driving you girls to school until you graduate, your dad will be traveling out of town for a while and he'll be taking the car.
"We'll hurry up and eat then Lucy, I wanna get going." Sarah said thoughtlessly.
"I'll try." Lucy says dryly, taking no additional effort to finish faster than she already was.
"Did you girls finish all of your homework?" Mason asked
"Mhmm" Lucy grunted as she nodded her head, trying to eat quickly
"Yes daddy, I was up real late and I didn't stop until I was done."
"Yeah, she almost peed herself she was so focused." Lucy joked.
"Nuh uh, it wouldn't of been a problem if you weren't hogging the bathroom." Sarah retorted.
"That's enough girls", Mason interjected, putting a stop to their argument before it could get going. "Sarah, I'm proud of you for working so hard, but it's okay to take bathroom breaks. It'll still be their when you get back."
"Okay daddy, It's just so hard to get started, I get worried that it'll stop making sense if I break my concentration."
"Let's get going already." Lucy said washing her plate and putting it in the dish washer.
"Okay, come on girls, I'll be off work in time to pick you up after school today." Ava said, grabbing her things.
The twins grabbed their backpacks and left through the front door. As they made their way to the car Sarah called out "Shotgun!" And raced to the passenger door.
"Sarah honey, I don't want you sitting in the front in this car, I can't turn off the airbag so you'll be safer in the back." Ava said with concern.
"But moommmy." Sarah whined
"Get in the back baby." Lucy said meanly, sticking it her tongue at her.
"Be nice to your sister young lady, just for that you're sitting in the back too." Ava lectured sternly. And no back talk" she added on.
The rest of the ride went without discussion. After seeing that Sarah was still in a bad mood and turned in the radio to a pop station. I'm a matter of minutes Sarah has forgotten about their argument and was humming asking to the music as she kicked her legs and subtly danced in her seat. Lucy on the other hand started on her phone the whole time.
"Here's your stop girls, everyone out." Ava joked
Lucy exited the SUV without saying anything, quickly marching off to homeroom. Sarah took her time saying goodbye to her mom before leaving to her class.
The rest of the school day was fairly uneventful, the girls turned in any homework and took notes in class. Sarah has a test in her math class today though. She quickly checked her notes before it started and she was happy she did, even after spending so much time studying last night she believed the notes that Lucy has doctored and passed those mistakes into the test. She was relieved she she finished it was much harder than she was expecting and she wouldn't have passed if not for her being allowed to check her notes first, or so she believed at least.
After school finally let out the girls waited together for their mom. Lucy sat in front and Sarah in the back.
