Chapter #3

Choosing the Right Toy

    by: MrLockerby Author IconMail Icon
Mrs. Rios said to everyone,

"Alright, is everyone ready to gather around the "announcement circle"?"

All the girls replied with positive remarks and shouted yesses. Mrs. Rios continued,

"OK kids! As you may know, it is nearing twelve noon, right? What do we usually do at this time?"

She waited for someone to raise their hand to see if they knew the question. You peered over and saw a brown-haired girl raise their hand. She said to her,

"Is it lunch time yet? I'm really excited to see what my mommy packed me for lunch!"

Mrs. Rios chuckled and replied to the girl,,

"*chuckles*, You are on the right track, Tori, but that is incorrect! Anyone else know the answer?"

You then saw your main "bwestest fwend" (JuJu B) raise her hand. Mrs. Rios picked her to answer, and she said,

"Is it pwaygwound time yet, Miz Rios?"

Mrs. Rios jumped up in excitement and applauded her that she had gotten the answer right. All the kids now were excited to go to recess. You felt the vibe change as it went from a relaxed state to a more rushed and energetic state. You overheard Mrs. Rios tell the kids something about recess - it could have been this, or it was just something unnecessary to tell young kids, you just weren't listening well enough. You were more focused on yourself and what might happen to you. Sure, someone you may or may not know could take you, notice you, and try to tell someone that Mr. (Y/N here) has been turned to a "dolly size", but what were the chances of that happening? Slim to none, in fact. They may not notice you, and mistake you as being some sort of entertainment doll. Your best bet was if your friends that you knew, like JuJu B, Abbcakes (Abby from the beginning, you finally figured out a nickname for her), Kaylie (was it Kayla or Kaylie?), or Kenzie, some girls that you've met also at a time when you changed JuJu B's diapers. You also figured that whenever the kids went out for recess, you stayed inside and fold more diapers and blankets, prepare meals for them, or talked with the people of the daycare. You had no idea how they acted, either.

A very intriguing scene to think about, one might say, but was this a dream or reality? You, (Y/N) would have to find out for yourself. Your hearing and senses then went back to Mrs. Rios finishing what she had to say. She then got up and dismissed the kids to line up to the door leading to the entrance. You noticed as the kids were running back, some were collecting toys from dollhouses, Lego sets, things of that sort. The feeling of the kids rushing either above you or beside you, took you off balance and made you fly back and land on the carpet. You looked up and continued to see the bottoms of dirty and clean shoes almost step on you. Just then, an unknown apparition appeared above you, and seemed to smile as she looked down on you. Who was this character, and what did you think her intentions were?
