It was over.
Just like that, the fighting that had come to define his life had reached its final end. Lucas had finally prevailed thanks to the voice of his mother reaching the long dormant heart of the masked sword-wielding man that blocked his way.
The boy who became Master Porky's robot came back to them one last time, just to end himself once and for all so that he could be with mom again. A fate that Lucas now knew had been denied to Claus three years ago.
There was only one thing left to do. Kumatora, Duster, Boney, Dad, everyone told him what had to be done. Pull the needle, and wake the dragon up.
He closed his eyes and grasped the needle with both of his hand, pulling up and out of the grounds for the last time.
Like before, a streak of light escaped straight up from where the needle once laid, and life before, billowing, high-pressure smoke poured out of the wound in the Earth like a geyser. Like before, the earth shook and roared with power, but unlike before, it did not cease.
Rather it intensified, more and more, growing louder and louder, and cracking the very earth with its power, before a white light emanated from the whole, covering Lucas and the whole area entirely.
The Dark Dragon was awakening.
For half a second, in the overwhelming white that he was surrounded by, Lucas swore that he thought that he saw something. A single, overwhelming blue, absolute and pure, going as far as his eye could see. It was an odd thing, moist and watery, yet piercing at the same time, the contours curving all around like the edges of the blue ball that he called his home planet. If there was one thing that it reminded Lucas of, it was an eye.
Before he could even begin to process what he saw, the white began to clear away, as Lucas now found himself in...
