Chapter #9
Caught in the Door!
by: Unknown
As you sprinted down the massive hallway, you felt your body put a little more bounce into every step you took. Guess that had something to do with your rubbery, elastic body. You were just happy you were able to keep a bit of balance like this. Passing your mother's room, the sound of yawning and footsteps approaching made you panic. If your mom found you like this...
"Yes!" You say as you spot a place to lay low. The small closet your family used to store towels was left open just a crack! Not enough to be noticed at first glance, but enough for you to squeeze in! As the ground began to lightly shake as your giant mother began to approach, you slid between the door and the frame. Your waist had to stretch and squeeze through to fit (much to your irritation), but you had just about gotten your leg through as the thudding grew louder and closer when...
*CLICK!* Your mom shut the door as she passed the closet in the hallway! Holding back a shout as you felt your leg get squeezed tight and compress, you fall to the carpeted floor. Turning and looking back, you groan in annoyance as you find everything below your knee was caught in the door! It even felt like parts of your body were caught in the door's corner, making it even more stuck.
"Come on..." You sigh as you tug at your trapped limb, hoping force could pull it free. Your leg stretches and strains as you tug and pull at it, "Great." You huff in Helen Parr's voice as you rest your head in your hand. Stuck in the door, at half-a-foot tall, and nobody knowing you were here to free you. Looking behind you at the towering shelves of towels behind you, you could only hope someone opened the door when they needed to grab a towel for a shower or bath.
"And hope they don't notice me doing it..." You cringe as you try to get comfortable in your current position. Well, as comfortable as a living elastic doll stuck in a door could get. You'd probably be here awhile.
"I guess... it could be worse..." You tell yourself, still trying to adjust to your new voice, "If I hadn't had a body like this, my leg probably would be completely broken..." Laying back in the almost pitch black darkness, you sigh dejectedly, running a gloved hand through your fake hair. You really didn't want anyone to see you like this...
