Tails frowned as his steps remained unsteady, to the point where he kept almost falling over.
Ugh, this isn't working. Tails thought to himself, I can't just brute force it, I need to figure this out.
He experimented with a few more careful steps, as he puzzled out how to do this.
I get it. He realized, I'm trying to walk on my toes, but I need to use the heel of the shoe too.
With that figured out, he straightened out and tried walking again.
Heel, toe, heel, toe, heel, toe, He reminded himself. He started out unsteadily, but found he was already doing much better.

His steps gained confidence, becoming more even, almost rhythmic.

His hips started to swivel more, slowly spreading outwards.

His legs became longer and longer.

His thighs started to plump up, muscle building underneath.
"Finally!" Tails exclaimed as he reached the lab. "Now I just need to find that solvent!"
