"It's broken..." Tailsko sighed to herself. If the data from the scan was to be believed, the power surge from the previous night had shorted it out. However, that didn't explain why Tailsko had changed, or why it had suddenly clamped onto her wrist. She needed answers. She tried to use her full body scanner on herself, only for it to suddenly short out. She could have sworn she saw pink electricity for a moment.
I guess the power's still on the fritz. Tailsko thought. I'll have to investigate that before I can do anything else.
Checking the local forecast told her everything. There was an electrical storm in the area, making power unstable. She thought she had fortified her lab for this sort of thing, but apparently it hadn't been good enough. And to think, if she hadn't been so distracted working on the wristband, she would have checked the weather and known not to be doing anything that sensitive with unstable power. She could easily fortify the house, but she knew how unsafe it would be to attempt such a thing while there were still electrical surges. She collapsed back into her chair, feeling stupid. And then she felt annoyed. Even with clothes, her chair still wasn't comfortable. It was simply too small to fit her plush rear. She supposed she could use some outside time anyway, having been cooped up in her own lab for far too long. Sticking the wristband in her pocket, she headed off to the local mall to pick up some things she needed.
To her surprise, right as she entered the mall, she ran into...
