Tailsko jumped. Someone was at the door! She started to feel anxious. Was she ready for anyone to see her like this? She didn't look that different, but she didn't know if she could hide how she felt. She scurried to the door and checked the peephole. It was Sonic!

Sonic had taken it well, congratulating Tailsko on her success with the bracelet. Tailsko herself had almost forgotten she was still wearing it. She more or less knew that Sonic would be accepting, he was her best friend after all, but being able to tell him and hear his approval lifted a weight she hadn't even realized she'd been carrying.
"Um, anyway," Tailsko said, "Is there any reason for the surprise visit?"
