Bros for Life

You smile to yourself as you think about merging your two best friends. The three of your had known each other since grade school, the 'three musketeers' as people often called you. Matt, as you well knew, had a huge crush on Zoe, but he likely would never ask her out. At first, you thought it would be a great idea to merge them mostly together. That way, Matt would really have no choice in the matter, but a pang of jealously welled up inside. You began to call on your power, but a random thought made you pause. You had to admit that you also had a crush on Zoe. But just like your friend Matt, you did not want to ruin your great friendship.

"On second thought... maybe fusing would not be..." you started to speak aloud to yourself, but you felt something activate within you. The world seemed to pause, but you felt yourself rushing forward, towards the frozen Matt. "Shit!" was all you could say as your body collided into Matt. In the next moment, you were standing beside Matt, directly beside him. You and Matt would have to be bros for life now, permanently sharing a body from your necks down. That's when the words from the guy on TV played in your mind, "Congrats, you can now fuse with people, or fuse people with people... Choose carefully because this power can only be used once. Once fused, the people involved cannot be unfused. So be cautious when making your choice."
