Sheldon's Surprise Visitor

    by: Haro-Haze Author IconMail Icon
Sheldon's newest theory in the world of Physics was a revelation. The idea was that the space between atoms could fluctuate based on necessity, allowing matter to expand to contrast to any size with the proper support, which Explained a few things, such as how people could come in all shapes and sizes.

Sheldon's colleagues laughed at him, suggesting he was crazy for theorizing something so outlandish as a Shrink Ray could exist in the world of science. Leslie Winkle, one of Sheldon's rivals at Caltech, even called him a "Dumbass" and said that he'd been reading too many comic books.

Sheldon took Leslie's insults to heart and immediately prepared to prove her wrong, setting up a prototype for the device in the living room of Leonard and his apartment. "We'll see who the dumbass is, Leslie Winkle. After this, I'll be a tiny genius. Or maybe I'll use the device to make you a giant bitch." Sheldon said to himself as he wired the device through an outlet in the corner of the room.

"Excellent, device power levels are stable, and we're ready for the first test of Sheldon Cooper's matter inducer. Test one, shrinking the coffee table to a 1/100th scale." Sheldon announced, flipping the switch on the device.

Unfortunately, Sheldon's shotty handiwork could not handle the electrical current needed to reduce the space between atoms, and the device began to malfunction. As it turned out, he could have used Howard's help as an engineer.

The stabilizing coil snaped, turning the barrel of the device that ironically looked a lot like the shrink ray from Honey I Shrunk the Kids towards Sheldon. His eyes widened, but Sheldon Cooper wasn't exactly known for his quick reflexes as a beam of light shot towards him, reducing the scientist to the tiny size of 1 inch tall on the floor.

"A few bugs to work out, but I would classify this as a successful test," Sheldon announced, not seeing much danger in being so tiny. That is until he heard a knock at the door.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

"Sheldon, are you in there? I heard a loud noise!" the voice of Sheldon's neighbor Penny boomed beyond the door, worried for her friend's well-being.

Luckily, Leonard had given her a key, and she opened the door with little trouble, walking into Sheldon and Leonard's apartment, unaware that Sheldon was currently bug sized at her flip-flop-clad feet.

Sheldon hadn't realized until that moment how proportionally huge other people would be after being shrunk until he laid eyes on the aspiring young actress. Even Bernedette probably looked like a skyscraper now from his point of view.

"Sheldon, are you in here? The heck was he doing in here?" Penny asked out loud, taking a few steps into the apartment, taking notice of the strange device in the middle of the room as her foot's shadow eclipsed Sheldon.

"Penny, wait, don't come in!" He yelled, not wanting his bright mind to cease existing under the dumb blonde's sole. Rolling out of the way just in time as her foot came crashing down behind him, the stride of her long, tanned legs carrying her body far out of the range of Sheldon's voice.

"She needs to learn to watch her step. She could have squished somebody." Sheldon said as he pulled himself off the ground, watching Penny walk away from him as she searched the apartment for any sign of life.

Unfortunately, most people weren't an inch tall, and Penny didn't spare any bugs that crossed her path, reasoning that if they were stupid enough to end up in the way of her footfalls. Then they must have wanted to be squished. That's the mindset she developed while growing up in a small town outside of Omaha, Nebraska. She probably crushed more bugs under her body than she cared to count.

All this meant bad news for Sheldon, trapped in a small apartment with the giant midwestern woman as she carelessly stomped back into the main living area. "Where the heck could he have gone?" Penny asked, tapping her foot as she continued to scan the room, creating a small-scale earthquake for Sheldon, even though he was nowhere near her feet.

Then, finally, Penny caught a small amount of movement out the corner of her eye, noticing something on the floor a few feet away from her. "Wait a minute, is that ________," Penny said out loud, moving closer to investigate.

1. "Sheldon?" Penny quickly distinguishes Sheldon as a person instead of a bug and puts the situation together, realizing he somehow shrunk himself as part of some crazy experiment. Unfortunately, Penny sees this as an opportunity to mess with Sheldon, conducting some experiments of her own with Sheldon as her guinea pig.

2. "Sheldon? How the heck did you get so small?" Penny shows concern for Sheldon's well-being, driving him to Caltech between her boobs, where someone more experienced could help restore Sheldon to his human size. Unfortunately, she makes the wrong decision and delivers Sheldon to his rival, Leslie Winkle.

3. "A bug? Ew, better get rid of it before Sheldon finds out." Penny goes on the hunt for the tiny man as he attempts to run from the gigantic blonde. Attempting to crush him like a bug under her flip-flop-clad feet, enjoying the expirience a little to much as she remembers chasing bugs as a little girl.
