The squad moved slower than usual, partly because the princess was with them and partly because well, they saw what happened to the princess and though it deserved further observation. In fact that's why the knight decided to take her in, not because he needed her support as useful as it was but because the change in her.. hmm.. assets was quite weird
When the squad reached its destination the knights and the princess dismounted from their horses and the knight got a new surprise now having to look up at the princess, at 5'11'' he was almost half a foot taller than her, but not anymore! Taking her in was definitely the right decision.
The mission was standard patrol in an area that got attacked by bokoblins recently, so the knight apologized to the princess beforehand in case this was just a boring trip. Zelda however thanked the knight for allowing her to join the squad and explained she already was having a boring day before the mission.
The conversation cheered her up and the knight saw how she seemed to grow another couple of inches right before his eyes, making him wonder if she noticed the changes and how she could have an interesting day researching what was happening with her instead of helping on these kind of missions. He could probably talk to her later about it, after the mission.
The day was uneventful and the knights just did their rounds as Zelda explored the zone, not feeling any more strong emotions that could change her height, until she heard some shouts in the distance and realized she strayed too far from the spot the knighes were. First she tried to backtrack to reunite with the knights, but it didn't take her long to notice she was lost! She no longer was hearing shouts or any other sound that could guide her and she could not remember at all how to go back to the place where her white horse was.
The fear of being alone in an unknown place along with the self doubt caused by getting herself lost and probably getting the knight that graciously helped her in trouble caused her size to revert from 6'3'' to the original 5'6''. She figured out it was best for her to keep trying and hope she didn't stumbled into any problem.
