Something else because apparently that's ok

The stone revealed that Ruby now had the ability to alter the physical state of matter itself, she could now transform anything into something. Even living creatures into inanimate objects and vice versa. As for the mental state of the one changed, it could very depending on how they are changed.

If she turned someone into an object, it wouldn’t have a mind therefore they wouldn’t be able to speak or be aware of what’s happening. However, should Ruby turn that object back to who they were before, their behavior could change depending on what kind of object they were.

If she changed a person into an animal, they would maintain their awareness, but would loose their ability to speak. But they would also be driven by their new animal instincts, causing them to gradually behave more like the animal they have become. This could also result in some changes in behavior upon becoming human again.

While in this dream like state, Ruby imagined the possibilities with her new power and was eager to try them out. It was already starting to go to her head and she was coming up with some wild ideas.

The lights started getting brighter as her eyes slowly opened. She turned her head to see that she was in the infirmary and sitting next to her bed is…
