Cardin was walking out of combat class with his team and none of them were looking particularly happy. Dove complained, "I can't believe that even when we all team up against Pyrrha she still wipes the floor with us." Russel will say, "What are we supposed to do against the champion of Mistral? I mean she's called the invincible girl for a reason. Sky will sigh then look up at the others and say, "Since classes are over for the day and it's the beginning of the weekend why don't we just head back to the dorm and play some games to forget about what happened?" Dove will smile at the idea and say, "Sounds good to me." With Russel nodding along as he says, "Me too. How about you Cardin?" Cardin will look at his teammates with a slight frown as he says, "I don't feel like playing any games right now. I'm going to take a walk for a bit. You guys can head back without me."
Cardin's team will be walking away as they wave back while saying, "Alright, well when you get bored just head back to the dorm." As they turn a corner Cardin will walk in the opposite direction while thinking to himself, "I can't believe those three just want to just forget about these kinds of defeats! We should be thinking of a way to get back at her!" Cardin will walk out into one of the schools empty courtyards while still frowning. He will then let out a sigh as he says to himself, "Who am I kidding. Even I can tell she completely outclasses us." He will then angrily punch a pillar next to him as he says, "If only I had some way to dominate that bitch and show her who is really in charge!"
Suddenly there will be a loud 'crack' sound nearby startling him. Looking over Cardin will see a broken flowerpot on one of the pedestals. As Cardin walks over to the broken pot he will say, "What the hell did that?" As he gets closer, he will notice a small black rock smoking in a crater next to the pedestal. Cardin will think, "What the? Did somebody throw a rock over here?" However, as he looks at the rock, he will feel compelled to pick it up. Bending over Cardin will be reaching for the rock. He will be thinking, "I don't know what's going on, but I feel like if I pick up this rock something incredible will happen!" Cardin will then grab the rock while standing up to observe it. Suddenly he will feel a strange sensation run up his arm causing him to tightly clench the rock and cry out, "Ah dammit!" The sensation will quickly end, and he will look at his hand to see that the rock had turned to dust. Cardin will say to himself, "What the hell did that rock do? Something feels different, I feel different. I feel like I can do something I never could before."
