This choice: An Ancient Zoan Microraptor Dinosaur  •  Go Back...
Chapter #3

A Dwarf from the time of Giants.

Activating the ability for the very first time you went into your full Zoan form. Sharp needle like teeth. Hooked gnarled talons capable of lacerations on any prey. Powerful tighs that sat on agile flexible hunches. All wrapped in a flamboyant coating of colorful plumage.

You were a velociraptor. You think, with some doubt.

You remember raptors being some of the coolest and most terrifying Dinosaurs in movies. Not as big as other, but fast, smart, and intimidating. Yet you don't remember seeing them like this in the movies.

The overall shape and proportions seemed like you remember. Although you weren't sure about the feathers. But the major outlier was not that. No, it was your size.

Standing next to the discarded fruit in the ground you can see that it easily reaches to the tip of your torso. You were probably shorter than a chicken at this size.

Where Raptors supposed to be this small?

You were never a Dinosaur expert in your past life. Sure you've seen a documentary or two, but not with any scholarly zeal.

Perhaps you were not a Velociraptor. Maybe some type of Miniraptor? Or would it be called a Microraptor?

Whatever. The name is not important. The power is.

Ancient Zoans are known for being the toughest hardiest Zoans in existence. Usually they can tank more damage than a castle wall and if they're knocked down, they can get back up with astounding velocity.

Would it be the same for a tiny Dinosaur such as yourself?

It was hard to say. Fortitude is not an easy characteristic to experiment with outside of combat and you weren't sure if you wanted to put yourself at risk for it.

What you could test was your other physical attributes and it quickly became apparent that your speed and agility were incredible. Even for a creature of your stature.

You zoomed through the trees with the guile of a spider monkey and the speed of galloping horse. From branch to branch you jumped with incredible finess and on clearings you glided on wing like arms.

You never felt so free.

The full sprint through the heavy foliage was a bit tiring though. Though it was not surprising though seeing how you crossed two thirds of the island in minutes when it would normally take hours. Specially on the unclaimed wilderness.

Coming out onto a farmland. You stop by a drinking basin for the cattle to refresh yourself. Your legs felt like led, but you can feel the stamina returning. Maybe in a minute or two you would be back to normal.

It was then that the world turned topsy turvey as a huge creature grabbed you by the legs and flipped you upside down.

A farm girl was holding you in front of her with an inquisitive finger to her cheek.

She said; "Now, where did this chicken come from?"

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Tired you just let her take you.

*Noteb*
2. Sorry miss. I'm no Chicken. You say.

*Noteb*
3. Before you can react turmoil interrupts.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
