Water, you are a water man. Honestly, you just hit the jackpot with this one. Back in your world the existence of a water Devil Fruit has long been debated. Water is easily known to be the number 1 weakness of all Devil Fruits, so the idea of a fruit giving you the power to turn into its weakness has long been contested. But that discussion is meaningless since you actually have that power now.
Eager to test out your new skills you turn into a man made of H2O. Your physical form looses color as it becomes the translucent liquid everyone knows so well. Your entire body was now made out of water. Which turned out to come with its own problems.
Standing there in the heat of this summer island, you felt as the molecules escaped you in the process of evaporation. Not only that the drops on your feet started being absorbed by the sand below you. Fearing the idea of you disappearing completely, you choose to undo the transformation and revert back to your normal human form.
It was then that you noticed that you were half a head shorter than before.
Water has tremendous ability. With enough of it you can overpower any Devil Fruit user. But at the same time, it is quite susceptible to high temperature, low ones, absorbent materials, and who knows what else.
This shouldn't surprise you pretty much all Logias are weak to something. The sand fruit is weak to moisture, the lightning fruit is weak to rubber, and so on. Yet yours seemed to have a wide gamut of weak points. Though it makes up for it in strengths.
Regardless of its weaknesses and strengths, they will remain meaningless until you can recover your missing mass. Being at a beach you went to the seashore and tried to absorb the water there. That's when you discovered that you can't take in salt water. Instead the salt water took in some of you, loosing you an arms length in height.
Backing away, you decide to look for water in town instead.
With shorter legs then when you started the day it takes you a bit longer to reach the small waterfront city of the island. Not wanting to return to your house in your diminished state, you decide to look for the first faucet or fountain that you can find.
You find a faucet in the commercial district, but the thing seems rather rusted and only produces a few drops every minute or so. No problem though. That issue might deter a normal man, but as a water human you had an easy fix.
Turning back into your water form, you use your liquid self to enter the pipe and find the source of the water. When you do, you find yourself in a large basin. Probably an aqueduct, cistern, or water tank. It was difficult to say from the inside.
You lay there for a short while regaining your lost stature, when you feel the pressure move you along. Curious to see where it would take you, you let yourself be guided by the rushing current.
You had a fun trip through the water line until you came out of another faucet and directly into a cylindrical clear chamber. Deciphering the space you now occupy, you get an idea of what it is as a cap fits into the entrance and seals you within.
You were now bottled water man being ready to be shipped abroad the seas. After days or maybe months of being trapped into the glass container you see a familiar figure unknowingly acquire your tiny prison. It was...
