A bastard sword or a bastard knife?

The land of Wano. Home of samurai, ninjas, yokai, and the Beast Pirates. Although partially occupied by an Emperor of the Sea and under the control of a tyrant Shogun, it is still the premier destination for those who seek to delve into the way of the sword.

In the time since you arrived you've had a hard time trying to find a master to hone your skills. Not only was the entry into the country difficult, but once inside you ended up in a desolate wasteland.

It was to be expected, industrialization hat hit this ancient empire hard and it was no longer the golden land it used to be. Only the Flower Capital remained in pristine condition.

But that was ok, you came here to learn the sword, not to sight see.

To do so, you had various ideas. With your knowledge of One Piece you know that most of the remaining skilled samurai have fallen into banditry or have become yakuza. Getting one of them to become your sensei would be arduous at best.

That said you know that if you could contact Komurasaki a courtesan in the capital, she could be your in to some of the strongest samurai in the land. After all she’s the daughter of a well known Damyo.

You were also thinking that training in shinobi arts could be a good idea. But ninja were even rarer than samurai. Outside of one or two independent ones, most work closely with the Shogun. So you would need to go into Orochi's castle and that wasn't appealing.

The last option is to go to the invading force and find a master amongst the Beast Pirates. They are not samurai or ninja, but they are a collection of some of the most experienced fighters from the many seas.

Someone from the Gifters, Tobi Roppo, or from Kaido's family could become a good teacher. Even though many of them didn't use swords at all.

Not sure in what direction to head, you grabbed your wakizashi a curved dagger that was taller than your current clone body and walked towards a new path.
